At Gateway Academy, we provide a safe, supportive, and engaging day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our program is designed to promote independence, personal growth, and meaningful community connections through a variety of structured and enjoyable activities.
Participants at Gateway Academy experience:
- Life skills development (daily living, social, and communication skills)
- Cooking classes to build independence and confidence in the kitchen
- Arts and crafts classes that encourage creativity and self-expression
- Creative and recreational activities
- Community outings and engagement
- Opportunities to build friendships and confidence
- A welcoming environment where every individual is valued and supported
Our goal is to help each person we serve live a purposeful and fulfilling life while reaching their personal goals in a fun and encouraging setting.

The Award
Each month, we proudly recognize three outstanding individuals as our Accountability Award Winners. These participants exemplify dedication, consistency, and teamwork within our academy, which offers a range of educational resources and online learning opportunities. Winners are selected based on a point system tied to group-defined goals across key accountability categories, reflecting the effectiveness of our training programs.
The Criteria
Every day of attendance at our training programs offers an opportunity to earn points in various areas, encouraging participants to stay engaged with the educational resources provided and committed to their online learning journey. At the end of the month, points are tallied, and the top scorers are celebrated for their exceptional performance and contribution to the academy’s collective success.
The Goal
This award not only honors individual achievement but also reinforces the power of shared goals and mutual accountability in our educational resources and online learning initiatives. Congratulations to all our winners—you inspire us every day with your dedication to our training programs!
